Audio Trends, a major player throughout the specialist audio visual market for around 30 years and well respected amongst its competitors, is seeking the services of additional dynamic and enthusiastic sales professionals to join us in the most modern, sophisticated and pace-setting audio visual showroom in Australia.

Audio Trends don’t just sell the latest audio visual equipment, but also manufacture a full range of custom a/v furniture - including wall units and sensational home cinema seating. Our other services include the design, construction and installation of complete home cinema rooms including sound proofing and interior decorating solutions. We also sell and demonstrate electronic home or office automation systems and multi-room audio and video systems, including Projectors.

Previous experience in the audio visual industry will be highly regarded, but is not a pre-requisite. As this is such a unique and highly specialised venture, we don’t expect any applicant to have expert knowledge in all of the aspects mentioned above! All staff members are required to attend product training classes on a regular basis and additional training will be given where required.

However, the successful applicant(s) will need to have at least 4 years experience in a sales environment, together with a ‘switched-on’ approach and an out-going, energetic and friendly personality. You will need to be self motivated with the ability to follow through completely on the customers’ requirements including follow-up on any after-sales details.

Our customers demand our staff to have a high level of product knowledge as well as skill in demonstrating all equipment. Therefore, the ability to quickly learn and retain an enormous amount of technical information, and do this on an on-going basis is a necessity. This industry is in a constant state of change. Basic ‘Windows’ computer skills, and fluency in English would be necessary.

Home Entertainment is seen as the domain of mainly men. However, Audio Trends is an equal opportunity employer and genuinely wants to hear from females who think that they can ‘cut the mustard’ in this fast paced and fun industry. After-all, many of our customers are female! Age is likewise no barrier to selection.

Salary will be negotiated according to skill level and experience. All sales staff are a part of a generous commission scheme, with additional added monthly bonuses for high achievers. Four weeks paid annual leave and other incentives are also available.

Our trading hours are six days a week and you will be expected to work a five-day roster. Audio Trends does not usually open on Public Holidays, but if necessary you will be compensated in accordance with the legal requirements.
