KEF KASA500 Subwoofer Amplifier

This DSP controlled system amplifier is optimized to deliver thunderous bass from KEF Ci subwoofers. KASA500 is a powerful Class-D Dual 250 Watts per channel amplifier. This DSP controlled system amplifier is optimized to deliver thunderous bass from KEF Ci subwoofers. With both line and speaker level inputs, and DSP configurable pass-through with optional high pass filters – the KASA500 is versatile and can be deployed in limitless system configurations. Optional rack mount ears included.

To allow for future flexibility KEF engineers may update the KASA500 DSP firmware to optimize performance with additional KEF speakers. The KASA500 Programmer is a proprietary tool for updating the KASA500 firmware. Note: KASA500 software requires a "USB Type A Male to USB Type A Male cable" for connection between your computer and the KASA500.

The latest KASA500 Firmware provides settings for KEF Ci subwoofer models Ci3160RLb-THX, Ci200QSb-THX, Ci200TRb, Ci4100QLb and Ci250RRb with THX certified performance (if applicable) in both mono and stereo mode.

About KEF

KEF, short for Kent Engineering & Foundry, is a British company that has earned a stellar reputation for its high-end audio products and cutting-edge speaker technology. Founded in 1961 by Raymond Cooke in Kent, England, KEF has consistently pushed the boundaries of audio engineering and design. The company is renowned for its commitment to innovation and its dedication to delivering superior sound quality to audiophiles and music enthusiasts worldwide.

One of KEF's most notable contributions to the audio industry is its Uni-Q driver technology. The Uni-Q driver places the tweeter and midrange driver concentrically, allowing sound to radiate from a single point source, creating a more coherent and immersive listening experience. This breakthrough technology has been integrated into many KEF speaker models, resulting in remarkable clarity and precision in sound reproduction. KEF's commitment to innovation has also led to the development of other pioneering technologies, such as Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT) and the Muon, a stunning and unique speaker design made in collaboration with industrial designer Ross Lovegrove.

KEF's product range includes a variety of speakers, headphones, and sound systems that cater to a wide range of audio needs and preferences. From high-end audiophile speakers to stylish and compact wireless systems, KEF strives to provide audio enthusiasts with solutions that deliver exceptional sound quality and design aesthetics. With a rich history of engineering excellence and a passion for creating products that elevate the listening experience, KEF continues to be a leading player in the world of high-fidelity audio, setting the benchmark for quality and innovation in the industry.

Our Take On The KEF KASA500

To power your KEF Ci Sub, such as the Ci3160RLb-THX In-Wall Subwoofer, you are going to need a KASA500 DSP Controlled Subwoofer Amplifier. These products are designed to be used together and the subwoofer cannot be used with any other amplifier. The KASA500, however, can be used with other KEF Ci Subwoofers such as the Ci200QSb-THX, Ci200TRb, Ci4100QLb and Ci250RRb.

Set up correctly with a single Ci3160RLb-THX will result in spectacular low end energy and drive and for even more impact and control two Ci3160RLb-THX In-Wall Subwoofers can be used with one KASA500 Amplifier for maximum low end grunt.

KEF's installed subwoofers offer incredible sonic performance whilst remaining visually discreet, and they are all engineered to partner any of KEF's architectural speaker ranges. Plus, when powered by KEF's DSP-driven KASA500 install audio system amplifier, the Ci3160RLb-THX, Ci250RRb-THX and Ci200QSb-THX subwoofers achieve the intense bass performance levels required for THX Certified Select and THX Certified Ultra.
