About The Paradigm CI Pro P80-RX V2 In-Ceiling Speaker
The CI Pro series is manufactured in Canada and takes performance to the next level with patented technology, step-up components, and hallmark Paradigm sound quality. The RX versions are specifically designed for use in almost any situation, indoors, outdoors near your pool or spa and even on your luxury yacht or house-boat! These 8" speakers are supplied individually to offer maximum flexibility so you can use the exact speaker you need in as many, or as few locations as you desire. They come standard with round white grilles which can be painted any colour you like to match the environment.
High-Moisture Resistance: The P80-RX V2 is designed specifically for high-moisture applications where conventional in-wall or in-ceiling speakers aren't practical. Ideal for using in a bathroom or on a covered patio.
High Performance High Frequencies: V2 offers an Aluminium Magnesium Ceramic (AL-MACT) Tweeter with Exclusive Perforated Phase-Aligning (PPA™) Tweeter Lens shared with the CI Elite series; this new tweeter platform elevates performance and allows for even greater flexibility when paired with Paradigm's in-room counterparts such as the Founder Series.
CARBON-X™ Cones: Paradigm's exclusive CARBON-X™ Cone combines lightweight stiffness with high consistency for a greater degree of accuracy and smooth, uncoloured frequency response. Drivers feature long excursion voice coil motors for greater power handling and reduced power compression.
Advanced Shock-Mount™ System: Like the CI Elite Series, Paradigm have added the same great Advanced Shock-Mount™ System to mechanically decouple the basket from the chassis. This significantly reduces performance-robbing vibrations and resonances between the acoustic platform and the rest of the speaker. Without these resonances, all drivers are left free to deliver pure, unaltered sound with no audible distortion.
Aluminium Baskets: FEA-Optimized Ultra Rigid Cast-Aluminium Baskets feature integrated heat sinks for higher power handling, better bass, better dynamics, and less power compression.
Component Shielding: Rear Component Shielding protects internal parts from debris. The polycarbonate material creates an installation that will not warp. Flat covers also make it easy to lie speakers down during the installation process without tipping.
Cable Capture: Nickel-plated, spring loaded binding posts feature a larger wire hole to accept higher-gauge wire or banana plugs.
Driver Surrounds: Patented Active Ridge Technology (ART™) surrounds, made in-house and over-moulded directly onto each cone, achieve greater excursion for a 3dB gain in distortion-free output (50% greater) compared to drivers with standard surrounds.
Mix & Match: Bezel-Free, Micro-Perf Grilles allow you to mix and match CI Home, CI Pro and CI Elite Series for a seamless aesthetic from room-to-room!
