The Magnum Hybrid is the next step up from the popular D-352 and sounds even better.The Magnum offers a larger soundstage and more dynamics right through the frequency spectrum. It also sports a fuller, richer tonal balance and, where appropriate, truly gut wrenching bass. The best thing about the entire Van Den Hul range is the total lack of fatigue when listening for long periods. Many cable brands tend to shout at you to get the message across but Van Den Hul cables are faithfully transparent to the sound of the music and always leave you feeling relaxed after a listening session.
Each lead is made of 483 x 0.15 mm and Matched Crystal (MC) high purity Oxygen Free Copper strands with a dense and very pure silver coating. Covering the two conductors is an extra layer saturated with Linear Structured Carbon that is applied to improve the sonic performance and to transform the radiated magnetic field into an audio signal again. The cable jacket is made from Van den Hul's HULLIFLEX 5, a very flexible and mechanically superb insulation material. The resistance per lead is: 0.21 Ohm/100 meter. Total metal cross-section area for each conductor is 8.54 mm², equalling AWG 8 which is very thick and definitely at a level where substantial terminations will be required. Another thing in common to some other Van den Hul speaker cables is the outer construction. The plus and minus leads are different in jacket-shape with printing in the flat middle section. Both properties are easy polarity-finders.

This description is for a terminated pair of Van den Hul Magnum Hybrid speaker cable that has had quality colour-coded Van den Hul Berri Bus banana plugs fitted to each end - 8 in total. Installation is done by an experienced audio technician and so is done right and saves you the time and "fiddle" of doing it yourself which can be a problem if you don't have the right tools.
