Audio Technica AT-LP70X Turntable

The AT-LP70X Fully Automatic Belt-Drive Turntable is the perfect turntable for those beginning their audiophile journey. Designed to offer a quality sound experience for those who love listening to records, from flipping through albums at the record store to placing a record on the turntable, cueing the tonearm, and sitting back with the album art in hand to enjoy music as the artist intended. Combining the experience of warm, analogue audio with user-friendly features, this turntable plays both 33⅓ and 45 RPM records and has a built-in switchable phono preamp that allows the turntable to connect to a home stereo, powered speakers, or another component, with or without a dedicated phono input.

At the heart of the AT-LP70X is a top-notch phono cartridge for unmatched, high-fidelity audio. Built with Audio-Technica's industry-leading phono cartridge expertise, the AT-VM95C is a versatile, superior-performance cartridge that other turntables in this class simply can't beat. Integrated into the J-shaped tonearm, the AT-VM95C cartridge with a 0.6 mil conical stylus offers excellent channel separation and low distortion for outstanding tonal quality. To further personalize vinyl listening, the stylus can also be easily upgraded with any other styli (elliptical, micro linear, or Shibata) in Audio Technica's VM95 Series, offering unprecedented customization for a turntable in this category.

To ensure peak sound performance, the AT-LP70X includes a three-piece, anti-resonance chassis that provides a solid foundation to dampen unwanted noise for improved sound quality. The included AC adapter further reduces noise as the AC/DC conversion is moved to the outside of the chassis to limit any unfavourable interference.

Simple, Intuitive Design: With its integrated AT-VM95C cartridge the turntable's J-shaped tonearm requires no additional setup, such as balancing or cartridge installation. Simply select the speed you want (33⅓ or 45 RPM) then press the Start and Stop buttons to control automatic operation or use the tonearm lift lever to play specific tracks on a record.

Refine Your Sound: The turntable's unique AT-VM95C Integral Dual Moving Magnet™ phono cartridge is compatible with any VM95 Series replacement stylus, making it easy to not only replace the stylus when needed, but also upgrade to a higher-quality stylus to enjoy more refined sound.

Complete Your Sound: Using the included RCA cable, the AT-LP70X can be connected to powered bookshelf speakers for an easy-to-manage sound system that fits in any room and requires no external amplifier.

About Audio Technica

Inspired by the depth of emotion he witnessed at vinyl listening sessions organised during his tenure at the Bridgestone Museum of Arts in Tokyo, Hideo Matsushita was determined to enable more people to experience the warmth of analogue listening. In a small Shinjuku apartment, he established Audio Technica and began developing cartridges. His first two products, the AT-1 and AT-3, achieved success and enabled Hideo to expand his business. He opened a larger headquarters in Machida, where the company still operates today.

Building on a shared passion for listening, Audio Technica have designed many critically acclaimed headphones, turntables and microphones whilst remaining a family business and with the firm belief that high-quality audio should be accessible to all.

Audio Technica believe that sound should be natural and so they strive to reproduce true, accurate, representations of audio. They start every product with the pure vibration created when sound is captured, using this analogue transducer technology to create products that transcend everyday sensory experiences. The quest to create pure, natural, audio is perpetual - it never stops, never ends.

Audio Technica headphones, turntables and microphone systems are used across the globe in a wide variety of applications, from live concert tours and recording studios to theatres, educational facilities, and houses of worship. There are also millions of music enthusiasts, gamers and content creators who use Audio Technica products every day.
