About The Paradigm CI Elite E80-R V2 In-Ceiling Speaker
The Made in Canada CI Elite series is packed full of advanced technology features that make it the custom installer's performance-oriented solution. With the CI Elite Series, it doesn't get much sweeter than this when looking for the ultimate sound because Paradigm has taken performance to the highest level with patented technology, step-up components, and hallmark Paradigm sound quality. These 8" speakers are supplied individually to offer maximum flexibility so you can use the exact speaker you need in as many, or as few locations as you desire. They come standard with round white grilles which can be painted any colour you like and there is the option to purchase square grilles separately if required.
AL-MAC™ Tweeter: All Elite Series V2 feature Paradigm's ground breaking Aluminium Magnesium Ceramic (AL-MAC™) Tweeter with Exclusive Perforated Phase-Aligning (PPA™) Tweeter Lens protects the delicate tweeter dome.
AL-MAC™ is Paradigm's unique blend of Aluminium, Magnesium, and Ceramic materials; each of which contribute to the end goal of greater accuracy and realism. Their special properties contribute to the final product which is not only strong and lightweight, but embodies a natural anti-resonance to ensure the tweeter doesn't just sound good "on paper" but truly sounds incredible in the real world.
AL-MAG™ Cones: Similar to the goals Paradigm had in mind when developing the AL-MAC™ tweeter, Paradigm's Aluminium Magnesium (AL-MAG™) Cone was conceived to bring the same elevated level of performance to the area where our ears are the most sensitive. In addition, AL-MAG™ combines a high stiffness-to-mass ratio with superior internal damping for greater accuracy.
CARBON-X™ Baffle: Exclusive Ultra-Rigid CARBON-X™ Ingrained Baffles are used in all in-ceiling models which gives increased rigidity, providing improved bass response and midrange performance.
Advanced Shock-Mount™ System: Paradigm's Advanced Shock-Mount™ System mechanically decouples the die-cast aluminium baskets from the specially formulate CARBON-X™ ingrained baffles reducing performance-robbing vibrations and resonance between the chassis and the acoustic platform. Without these resonances, all drivers are left free to deliver pure, unaltered sound with no audible distortion.
RED™: Reduced Edge Diffraction (RED™) Technology significantly reduces the adverse effects of diffraction while improving frequency response.
Larger Voice Coil: Oversized 1.5" High-Power Handling Voice Coil motor structure dramatically increases maximum output level and reduces power compression. Elite Series enjoys up to 40% greater excursion vs Pro Series for the most demanding audio applications.
Aluminium Baskets: FEA-Optimized Ultra Rigid Cast-Aluminium Baskets feature integrated heat sinks for higher power handling, better bass, better dynamics, and less power compression.
Component Shielding: Rear Component Shielding protects internal parts from debris. The polycarbonate material creates an installation that will not warp. Flat covers also make it easy to lie speakers down during the installation process without tipping.
Premium Components: Premium-grade components include high-power rated resistors, capacitors and heavy gauge wire inductors.
Cable Capture: Nickel-plated, spring loaded binding posts feature a larger wire hole to accept higher-gauge wire or banana plugs.
Driver Surrounds: Patented Active Ridge Technology (ART™) surrounds, made in-house and over-moulded directly onto each cone, achieve greater excursion for a 3dB gain in distortion-free output (50% greater) compared to drivers with standard surrounds.
Mix & Match: Bezel-Free, Micro-Perf Grilles allow you to mix and match CI Home, CI Pro and CI Elite Series for a seamless aesthetic from room-to-room!
Magnetically Attached Grilles: The magnetically attached grilles use neodymium magnets to hold them firmly in place.
