QED Profile 42 Strand – 20 Metres For Rear Surround Speakers
The speaker cable that started it all! Launched as QED's first ever speaker cable in 1975 and still in the range today. The Profile 42 Strand strands tall as superb value for money and 'The Go To' entry level speaker cable. An entry-level speaker cable that combines convenience and quality, the QED Profile 42 Strand/18 AWG is a real upgrade over bell-wire or basic 24 strand Figure 8 cable and brings class leading performance to your system.
Continually refined over the years, QED Profile 42 Strand is the perfect choice for use with high quality entry level audio components. QED 42 Strand uses 'figure 8' configuration which, combined with its great flexibility and rugged construction, makes it ideal for use in a wide variety of installations.
Wireworld Luna 8 - 3 Metre Subwoofer Cable
It is rare for any surround sound system to come supplied with speaker cables and even rarer for it to come with a Subwoofer cable. Yes, they come with a power cable, but you need to connect the subwoofer to the receiver with another RCA type cable which has been specially manufactured to just handle the low frequencies.
For subwoofer cable duties we have chosen the Wireworld Luna 8 which uses their very latest Tri DNA Helix configuration to provide superior impact and expressive dynamics, while the superior Composilex 3 insulation improves focus and clarity. This pack includes the most commonly used 3 metre version but other lengths are available if required.
What You Get In The Pack
This is a 5.1 Surround Cable Pack which includes speaker cable to connect from your home theatre receiver or amplifier to five speakers. There is 8 metres of QED Profile 79 Strand speaker cable for your three front speakers. This is usually split into two 3 metre cables for your Left & Right speakers and a 2 metre cable for your Centre speaker. There is also 20 metres of QED Profile 42 Strand speaker cable for your rear surround speakers. The speaker cables have no plugs attached. The cables can quite easily be stripped back to reveal the bare speaker wire and can then be used without plugs. If you would like to use plugs that can easily be fitted at home, we recommend the Taga Harmony Banana Plugs. If you want to fit plugs to each end of all the speaker cables you will need a total of 20 plugs, 10 red & 10 black.
A 3 metre Wireworld Luna 8 subwoofer cable is supplied, with the usual RCA plugs fitted to each end, to connect from a home theatre receiver or amplifier to a subwoofer.
