The two centre conductors are each made of a 0.9 mm diameter single-strand 3T conductor individually coated with an extra Linear Structured Carbon (LSC) layer. To reduce the capacitive load between the signal conductors and the shielding, Van den Hul's engineers have enlarged the distance between the two 3T centre conductors and the shielding.
The shielding is made of 4 layers. Two layers of the shielding are made of heavy silver-coated high-quality copper multi-strand conductors and the other two layers are made of Linear Structured Carbon (LSC).
After a modest run-in time of only 3 – 5 hours you will be very surprised at the huge improvement in the quality of your system's musical reproduction without changing any other component. The feeling of being "there where the recording is made" is very strong with 3T The Mountain Hybrid.
If your equipment has true balanced circuitry and XLR connections then this cable offers superior noise rejection and therefore sound quality over the unbalanced RCA version.
