About Van den Hul The CS-122 Hybrid Speaker Cable

The CS-122 Hybrid is the next step up from the best selling The Clearwater and boy is it worth the money! More substantial in every way, the CS-122 raises the bar in both clarity and musicality whilst adding increased dynamics and uber punchy bass. The best thing about the entire Van den Hul range is the total lack of fatigue when listening for long periods. Many cable brands tend to shout at you to get the message across but Van den Hul cables are faithfully transparent to the sound of the music and always leave you feeling relaxed after a listening session.
The 2 conductors are made of 147 strands of 0.16 mm. diameter high purity Matched Crystal Oxygen Free Copper with a very dense pure silver coating. Each conductor exhibits a cross-section area of 2.96 mm², equalling AWG 12.5 which means you will probably need to fit terminations. Covering the two conductors you will find an extra Linear Structured Carbon saturated layer to improve the sonic performance and to transform the radiated magnetic field into an audio-signal again.
The resistance per lead is: 0.58 Ohm/100 meter. The capacitance between the 2 leads is: 32 pF/meter and the cable jacket is made from van den Hul's HULLIFLEX 3, a very flexible and mechanically superb insulation material. The insulation of the plus and minus leads is different in shape with printing in the flat middle section. Both properties are easy polarity finders. Type printing on every 25 cm. (10") makes cutting of specified lengths very easy. Finally, this cable is available in a very attractive matt cream colour.
Terminated Pair Option
This description is for a purchase by the metre. Buy what you wish and either fit your own plugs or use it as bare wire. However, we have a selection of pre-cut lengths already fitted off with banana plugs. This is done by an experienced audio technician and so is done right and saves you the time and "fiddle" of doing it yourself which can be a problem if you don't have the right tools. And the price is not much more than you would pay for the separate items. If you have a need for a "custom" length then we can organise that promptly.
