About Van den Hul The Magnum Hybrid MKII
The van den Hul Magnum Speaker Cable is everything we've come to expect from this cable maker - fatigue free, a big bold spacious presentation with the finese that good audio equipment deserves. The Magnum is the next step up from the popular D-352 and sounds even better. More substantial in every way, the Magnum digs a little deeper, has a slightly more gutsy bass, a larger scale & soundstage presentation and is a touch richer in balance. The best thing about the entire Van Den Hul range is the total lack of fatigue when listening for long periods. Many cable brands tend to shout at you to get the message across but Van Den Hul cables are faithfully transparent to the sound of the music and always leave you feeling relaxed after a listening session.
Each lead is made of 483 x 0.15 mm and Matched Crystal (MC) high purity Oxygen Free Copper strands with a dense and very pure silver coating. Covering the two conductors is an extra layer saturated with Linear Structured Carbon that is applied to improve the sonic performance and to transform the radiated magnetic field into an audio signal again. The cable jacket is made from van den Hul's HULLIFLEX 5, a very flexible and mechanically superb insulation material. The resistance per lead is: 0.21 Ohm/100 meter. Total metal cross-section area for each conductor is 8.54 mm², equalling AWG 8 which is very thick and definitely at a level where substantial terminations will be required. Another thing in common to some other van den Hul speaker cables is the outer construction. The plus and minus leads are different in jacket-shape with printing in the flat middle section. Both properties are easy polarity-finders. .

This description is for a purchase by the metre. Buy what you wish and either fit your own plugs or arrange for us to fit some for you. Bare wire is not going to work at AWG 10. Installation is done by an experienced audio technician and so is done right and saves you the time and "fiddle" of doing it yourself which can be a problem if you don't have the right tools.
