Wharfedale EVO4.4 Floorstanding Speakers
The Wharfedale EVO4.4 Floorstanding Speaker is the flagship of the EVO4 range and has the ability to fill a large room with rich clear sound from its beautifully rounded, super solid cabinet, ultra-stiff woven Kevlar woofers, large soft dome midrange and airy AMT tweeter. You get a heck of a lot of speaker for the money in three fine finishes - White Oak, Walnut or Black - to suit almost any décor.
The EVO4.4 is the big daddy of the range. Although it has the same sensual cabinet curves flaunted shamelessly by all the EVO4 speakers, it is built on a bigger scale and is able to fill a large room with sound. It features the wonderful Air Motion Transformer Tweeter and the large Dome Midrange coupled to a pair of 6.5" (165mm) diameter woven Kevlar Bass Drivers for maximum punch and superior bass extension.

Wharfedale EVO4.2 Bookshelf Surround Speakers
The Wharfedale EVO 4 series has been refined to appeal to both audiophile and the home-theatre enthusiast alike. Offering supreme performance in tight spaces, with the compact EVO 4.1 and equally compact but 3-way design EVO 4.2 and 4.3 and let's not forget the option of the indulgent extension of bass, volume and impact in the 3-way EVO 4.4. The 4.C centre speaker offers enhanced clarity of dialogue in home-theatre applications while the 4.S surround speakers immerse the user in a genuine theatre experience. The EVO 4.2 Bookshelf speaker as discussed here is in need of a suitable amplifier that can handle low impedances around 4 Ohms and also deliver high-current - not to be confused with high wattage - to control the speakers 87db efficiency which is similar to most good speakers in this performance category. The benefit is more control and depth in the bottom end and combined with the AMT high frequency driver, owners will enjoy awesome performance in small to medium sized rooms without the need for a subwoofer. Wharfedale EVO4.C Centre Speaker
The Wharfedale EVO 4.C Centre Channel speaker brings something rather special to the table. It uses the same Air Motion Transformer tweeter and woven Kevlar bass drivers as the other EVO 4 speakers but, more importantly, it also incorporates the same 50mm soft dome midrange. The advantage of this small midrange is the way the drivers can be laid out optimally, with the tweeter above the midrange and the bass drivers to each side, without the speaker being overly tall. This arrangement not only looks correct but gives the best sound possible whilst keeping this centre channel small enough to fit into most people's cabinets. Very smart.
Of course it also means that it is tonally matched to whichever EVO 4 front speakers you happen to team it with. Top notch vocal clarity and dynamics is exactly what you want from a centre speaker and the EVO 4.C has these qualities in spades.
